Reasonable Analysis of 'Vasudev Kutumbhkam'

 

Preface: ‘Vasudev Kutumbkam’ As the Indian saying goes, the world is one family. This may be hard to believe for some, provided the vicious crime rates across the world. But then, there are many things underlying the same, which are not being given a considerable thought.

This essay, unlike others, aims to provide a reasonable, rather prudential and practical basis for the same because we, humans have been gifted with ability to reason everything. The World is One Family

Origins: It is a generally established fact that human beings had their origin in Africa, then they dispersed and settled across the world.

All of us have the same life processes, ability to express ourselves but then it devolved into conflict and competition and hence the Survival of the fittest theory , which corresponds with the Malthusian theoryof population growth that positive and preventive checks will ensure nature’s balance on the Earth.

These positive checks paved the way for the Survival of The Fittest Theory.

But the need of the hour is the Survival of the smartest, in a world which is bound to end one day if we continue at the same pace.

It’s time to end the narrow mindedness of thinking at most at the community level; emphasize on the similarities, not the differences and renunciate the present thinking pattern , also from the self-seeking perspective  ; the scenario is changing and the competition has baffled everyone’s imagination. We are at the brink of ending our own planet through nuclear energy and atomic energy.

So let’s realise the true potential of Vasudeva kutumbkam and build on our humanitarian nature and empathy .
